Outreach – Robin Cogan and Lori Anderson – Our outreach committee has been busy with lots to share, even in the midst of a pandemic. We are quickly filling up our state liasion program and are looking forward to the innovative ways these key partners will be promoting the importance of national certification in a virtual world. There are challenges and triumphs to be shared. State Liaisons have a community group through NASN’s SchoolNurseNet where they are gathering virtually to share best practices and ideas to spread the message of certification. Best news is that the long awaited certification book has been published:

“The newly revised 2020 digital edition of the School Nursing Certification Review book, by Janice Selekman, DNSc, RN, NCSN, FNASN, and Robin Cogan MEd, RN, NCSN is ready. This long-awaited publication can be purchased through the NBCSN application site. Go to www.nbcsn.org and click on the orange login button on the top right” – retrieved from NBCSN.org.

This is the first major revision of our study guide in over 11 years and it now contains more questions along with rationale to support the answers. The plan is that the book will also be available in a hard copy, publishing has been complicated during COVID.
