Teresa Ross, MSN, RN, NCSN
It is NBCSN’s please to name, Teresa Ross the National Board for Certification of School Nurses (NBCSN) 2020 Liaison of the Year Award. This recognition is given to the liaison who effectively promotes certification on the state level.
NBCSN’s mission is to advance the health and learning of students and the wellness of the school community through a rigorous national certification process for school nurses. NBCSN’s vision is that a nationally certified school nurse will safeguard the health of every student so as to optimize learning and promote healthy communities.
Teresa has enthusiastically promoted national school nurse certification through her work in Colorado. She has helped to increase understanding of the certification process and to promote national credentialing through her presentations at her state conference about national certification, and also helped represent NBCSN at our NASN booth. This past year, Teresa has stepped forward to offer her help managing the every burgeoning NBCSN Liaison program through email contacts and becoming the Liaison community monitor on SNN. She is a true ambassador!
