The NBCSN State Liaison Program is to promote the NCSN credential on the state level. The NCSN is the highest credential available for school nurses and is a formal recognition of advanced knowledge, competence, and personal and professional commitment to excellence in the specialty practice of school nursing.

If you are already an NCSN and would like to work on promoting the NCSN credential to other school nurses in your state, consider becoming an NBCSN liaison for your state! As an NBCSN liaison, you can go to state meetings like a state conference and promote the certification. You may reserve a table for NBCSN, which we will work with the state and pay for, if you would like to attend the state conference. You will be provided with promotional materials such as flyers, NCSN-certified ribbons, and the tabletop display.

Each state may be represented by one or two liaisons. So, check this to see if your state is represented. If your state does not have a liaison or only has one, and you are interested in becoming one for your state, you can complete the online application, and we will be in touch with you shortly.

Currently, around 30 states have one or two NBCSN state liaisons. Let’s work together to make sure that all 50 states are represented with NBCSN state liaisons so we can promote our credential across the nation!
