NBCSN’s Outreach team consists of up to 2 liaisons per state. With the addition of 7 new volunteers in 2024, we now have 52 liaisons in 41 states. Our state liaisons promote certification in their state and serve as a resource for potential candidates. This can be done by submitting articles to your state’s newsletter about the NCSN, displaying NCSN information at state-level meetings via an exhibit booth or other creative means, and encouraging or facilitating online or in-person study groups for nurses who are preparing to sit for the exam. The Outreach Committee is making future plans to host a quarterly online check-in meeting where liaisons will be able to interact with each other, share ideas and successes, and collaborate on future initiatives.
