The NCSN of the Year Award recognizes an certified school nurse who has been influential in promoting certification and exceptional competency in the field. Any NCSN can be nominated — and many are deserving!
The award is presented at the NASN Annual Conference.
If you would like to nominate a fellow NCSN for the award, please fill out our nomination form.
The NCSN of the year nominee:
- Must be nominated by a peer by December 31 of the current year;
- Must demonstrate achievements at the national, state or local level that (1) enhance the competence of school nurses or (2) effectively promote national school nurse certification;
- Must be an active NCSN in good standing; and
- Must be employed in school health.
A letter of recommendation addressing the above criteria must be submitted along with the nomination form. Past and current members of the National Board for Certification of School Nurses (NBCSN) are not eligible for the Award.
