As my time as NBCSN President comes to an end, I have been continually humbled by the work and partnerships that enhance school nursing practice nationwide. Earlier this year, NBCSN established a Justice, Equity, Belonging, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEBDI) Task Force with a group of representative school nurses. Although this work continues, I would like to recognize and thank the following JEBDI Task Force members: Sheila Caldwell (NJ), Josh Landry (NM), Araceli Orozco (IL), and Cindy Hiltz (MN). The JEBDI Task Force has been developing recommendations to ensure that all aspects of NBCSN reflect the principles of justice, equity, belonging, diversity, and inclusion so that current and future NCSNs are supported throughout the certification and recertification process. This work and the work of NBCSN would not be possible without passionate and dedicated volunteers. If you would like to work with other NCSNs across the nation, consider joining one of NBCSN’s committees as each aspect of the certification process involves NCSNs contributing their knowledge to further certification and excellence in school nursing.
